Description | BEYRA Jaen - Red Wine
BEYRA Jaen - Red Wine is a single-varietal wine made from the Jaen grape variety, produced by Beyra in the Beira Interior region. It originates from vines cultivated in granitic soils in the Vermiosa area, within the Douro International Natural Park, at an altitude of approximately 700 meters. These natural conditions contribute to the freshness, identity, and very distinctive expression of this wine.
The grapes are harvested manually and vinified with great care, in a process that includes total destemming, crushing, and cooling. Fermentation takes place between 22 and 26 ºC for 7 days, with gentle maceration, seeking to preserve the purity of the grape variety and the overall balance. Eight months of aging in French and American oak barrels adds complexity and depth to the wine's profile.
Unfiltered, BEYRA Jaen - Red Wine may develop natural sediment over time, a characteristic associated with minimal intervention in the winery. It is an authentic expression of the Jaen grape variety and the Beira Interior region, revealing Beyra's care in creating wines with character and a connection to their origin.
