Dona Isabel Juliana - Red Wine

Dona Isabel Juliana - Red Wine is a flagship wine from Quinta da Lagoalva, produced in the Tejo region. Made from Alfrocheiro, Alicante Bouschet, Tannat, and Syrah grapes, it originates from hand-picked grapes in small plots, with evident care from the vineyard to the winery. Vinification includes pre-fermentation maceration and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by hydraulic pressing and malolactic fermentation in new or one-year-old French oak barrels.

The 14-month aging in barrels contributes to its complexity and definition, revealing an elegant and structured profile. It presents an intense garnet red color and aromas of ripe black fruit, notes of jam and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it shows good volume, elegant tannins and a long, persistent finish, demonstrating a balance between concentration and finesse.

It is a gastronomic red wine, particularly suitable to accompany meats, game, oven roasts and aged cheeses. Served at around 16ºC, it accurately expresses the character of the Tejo region and the meticulous style of Quinta da Lagoalva.
