Quinta das Carvalhas Vintage 2015 - Port Wine

Quinta das Carvalhas Vintage 2015 is a Port wine from the Porto and Douro region, produced by Quinta das Carvalhas. Originating from selected plots of the estate, it expresses the classic profile of a Vintage, combining concentration, depth and great potential for aging in the bottle. The manual harvest and the traditional foot treading in granite lagares contribute to the careful extraction of color, aroma and structure, in a style faithful to the Douro heritage.

After fermentation, interrupted by the addition of brandy, the wine ages for about two years in oak vats before bottling. It presents an intense and youthful purple color, with an elegant aroma where ripe fruit, floral notes, and hints of rockrose stand out. On the palate, it reveals firmness, minerality, and well-integrated smooth tannins, finishing long and persistent. It is a very interesting choice to accompany cured cheeses, such as Azeitão or Stilton, as well as dark chocolate desserts. Due to its structure and balance, it also shows remarkable aging potential.
